Wolf E. Allihn
Wolf Eberhard Allihn (* 1932 in Canada ) is a German educator and writer.
Life
The son of German immigrants was born in Canada and returned to Germany with his family in 1939. He graduated from high school in Oldenburg and then worked in mining for a year to finance his studies.
After studying to be a teacher (sport, music, English and pedagogy ) at the University of Cologne and the Sport University Cologne , Allihn worked as a qualified sport teacher from 1957. From 1959 to 1960 he was a teacher in Winnipeg , Canada. In 1962 he passed the state examination and worked as a high school teacher, since 1974 director of studies. In 1986 he received his doctorate from University Bochum Dr. phil. During his teaching activities in the university he published not only specialist publications, but also prose and poetry . Since his retirement in 1996, the father of two sons has lived as a freelance writer in Monheim am Rhein , where he had previously taught at the Otto Hahn Gymnasium .
Allihn also plays the clarinet and, as a senior, still plays tennis in the TC Red Yellow in his hometown.
