Wolf Siegfried Wagner

Wolf Siegfried Wagner (born December 6, 1943 in Bayreuth ) is a German opera director , set designer and architect .

Life

Wolf Siegfried Wagner was the second child of Wagner's grandson Wieland Wagner and Gertrud Wagner, nee. Reissinger, born. His siblings are Iris Wagner , Nike Wagner and Daphne Wagner .

After graduating from high school in 1964, Wagner studied architecture and painting in Berlin and Munich. From 1967 to 1969 he was assistant director at the Grand Théâtre de Genève and at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, from 1970 to 1972 a fellow at the Center For Advanced Study , University of Illinois . Wagner worked as a set designer and director at numerous opera houses and theaters, including the Stuttgart State Theater and the Münchner Kammerspiele . He had international engagements in Palermo, Rome, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro, London, and Tehran. Wagner has lived as an architect and building contractor on Mallorca since 1988 .
