Wolfakirchen is a district of the community of Haarbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau .

Wolfakirchen is located on the Wolfach in the Isar-Inn hill country about two kilometers west of Haarbach.
history
The chairmanship of Wolfach , renamed Wolfakirchen in 1752 , was part of the Aunkirchen office and from 1532 of the Amsham office in the Vilshofen district court . In addition to Wolfakirchen itself, the chairmanship also included Niederham and Kemauthen.
1818 initially independent, in 1821 Wolfakirchen was one of the places from which the community of Haarbach was formed. From an ecclesiastical point of view, originally a branch of Uttlau, it became a branch of Haarbach in 1805 and a trade fair reader in 1867. The parish of Wolfakirchen has existed since 1921.

- Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary . The late Gothic former pilgrimage church from the 15th century with older components contains stained glass windows from the 15th century and altars from the transition from Rococo to Classicism.
