Wolfgang Ball

Wolfgang Ball (born November 12, 1948 in Neunkirchen / Saar ) is a German lawyer. He was presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

Wolfgang Ball studied law from 1967 at the Saarland University . He began his judicial career in 1975 in Rhineland-Palatinate . After his probationary period, he became a judge at the Pirmasens District Court in 1978 . From 1983 to 1991 he was a judge at the Zweibrücken Higher Regional Court before he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice. He was a member of the 8th Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice , which is responsible for sales law , housing rental law and leasing law . From 1999 to 2006 he was also a member of the Cartel Senate. From August 2006 until his retirement at the end of January 2014 he was Chairman of the Eighth Senate. He was also a member of the Appeals Chamber of the Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine .

Wolfgang Ball has been the new Real Estate Ombudsman in the IVD real estate association since 2015 .

Ball published on commercial tenancy , lease and leasing law.
