Wolfgang Becvar (* 1950 in Linz , Austria ; † September 3, 2006 in Deutschlandsberg , Styria ) was a practicing veterinarian and author .

Life

Becvar had studied veterinary medicine in Vienna . Working as a veterinarian in Germany and Austria since 1986 , in addition to his practice he also studied homeopathy and other areas of naturopathy . He has written several books on these broad topics. In the 1980s he also published literary texts, mostly satires and poetry . Becvar was temporarily active as a lecturer at the Academy for Animal Naturopathy in Bad Bramstedt .

On several trips to Canada , South America and Africa he gained knowledge of traditional natural medicine , shamanism and special healing rituals, which he dealt with further in his last years. The aspects of the shamanic tradition as well as the “care and healing of the earth mother” ( geomancy ) with regard to the needs of the modern western cultural landscape are reflected in the book Paths to Holistic Agriculture . At last he worked out a system of symbolic powers called Ingmar and Larimar , which should enable everyone to use the ever-present "free energies" in a simple and effective way.

Becvar was married twice and had two children. He died of untreated diabetes .
