Wolfgang Borschel

Wolfgang Borschel (* 1949 in Bebra ) is a German antenna technician and university professor . He teaches antenna technology and measurement technology at the Technical University of Central Hesse . He is also a member of the Telegraphy Working Group and a member of the Konrad-Zuse-Gesellschaft .

Life

After graduating, Borschel studied communications engineering with a focus on high-frequency technology and measurement technology. In 1986, in a scientific journal, he described a method for measuring group antennas with the help of solar noise, i.e. radio emissions from the sun .

After graduating, he worked for Deutsche Telekom in the planning, construction and renovation of large-scale broadcasting systems. In 1978 he received a license to transmit and receive for an amateur radio station with the callsign DK2DO. In addition to a technical examination, the prerequisite for this was knowledge of the Morse code in GIVING and LISTENING at 60 characters / min. He regularly takes part in the German Telegraph Cup with success .
