Wolfgang Gansert

Wolfgang Gansert (born October 26, 1955 in Elxleben ) is a former German racing cyclist and road cyclist from the GDR .

Gansert started cycling in the BSG Traktor Erxleben . From 1970 he was a member of the cycling department of SC Turbine Erfurt . At the children's and youth spartakiade in 1972 he won the road race in the youth group B. 1974 he took part in the 22nd International GDR cycling tour; was 6th of the 2nd stage: around Forst , 133 km; 4th of 5th stage: Berlin - Dessau , 165 km; Winner of the 7th stage: across the Harz , 134 km (also counted as a Harz tour); as the most active driver wearing the violet jersey and as the best young driver together with Hans-Joachim Hartnick wearing the white jersey. In the overall ranking he finished 34th. In the same year, the 6th stage of the GDR tour was also rated as a Harz tour (winner Hans-Joachim Hartnick; there were therefore two events and two winners in 1974). For the national team of the Cycling Federation of the GDR , he started once, at the 1974 -Tour of Bulgaria , but retired early from the race.

His trace is lost here - nothing is known about his further life.
