Wolfgang Koeck

Wolfgang Köck (born April 1, 1958 in Bremen ) is a German legal scholar.

Life

From 1976 to 1979 he completed administrative training at the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (2nd administrative examination). After his community service (1979–1980) he completed a law degree in Bremen from 1980 to 1986 (one-phase legal training). From 1987 to 1990 he was a research assistant at the University of Bremen . After completing his doctorate in 1990, “The special tax as an instrument for environmental protection. A contribution to the dogmatics of tax law ”(University of Bremen) he was there from 1991 to 1997 research assistant . From 1998 to 1999 he was a fellow at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF), Bielefeld; Research group "Rational Environmental Policy - Rational Environmental Law" ( Gertrude Lübbe-Wolff ). After completing his habilitation in 2000, "Standards of Risk Assessment in Environmental Law - with Special Consideration of Substance Law" (University of Bremen), he was a professor there from 2000 to 2001. Since 2001 he has been Professor of Environmental Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Leipzig (joint appointment with the Environmental Research Center Leipzig-Halle, UFZ).
