Wolfgang Treitler

Wolfgang Treitler (born April 13, 1961 in Steyr / Upper Austria ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

As a student at a Catholic high school, Treitler was the victim of sexual abuse by a teacher. After graduating from high school, he studied Roman Catholic theology . From 1980 to 1985 Treitler studied independent religious education in Sankt Pölten and Vienna . He has been a lecturer in religious studies at the Philosophical-Theological University of St. Pölten since 1996. 1998 Treitler was at the Theological Catholic University of Vienna for the subject fundamental theology habilitation. Since this year he has been working as an associate professor at the University of Vienna .
