Wolfgang Koth (born October 12, 1967 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Koth made his big appearance in football in the 1986/87 season when he played for Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga . Koth came to two missions in the Fortuna relegation season. He played his first game on matchday 26, in front of a home crowd against Borussia Dortmund . He played the full length, the game was lost 0: 4. On matchday 34 he was allowed to play again. It was against VfL Bochum and Fortuna was on the penultimate place in the table. The rescue in the relegation was still possible, after the 33rd matchday, FC Homburg was only one point ahead of the Düsseldorf team. Homburg played against the bottom of the table Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin , who was two points behind Fortuna and was already relegated. Both games ended 2-2, so that Koth relegated with Fortuna.
