Kraus achieved his professional goal ahead of time of becoming the manager of the Hessian Bundesliga club. The trained businessman had already shown great negotiating skills as a player in his own contract negotiations, which was also useful for his new role. However, it failed after less than two years. The background to the dismissal was the sale of the star player and audience favorite Lajos Détári .
