Wolfgang Krug

Wolfgang Krug (born January 12, 1936 in Meißen ) was a successful automobile racing driver in the GDR .

Career

A trained car - Champion pitcher began his racing career in 1953 in the sand and grass track sports and later rose to Speedway order. In 1962 he finished third in the GDR speedway championship. In 1966 he switched to racing. In 1973 and 1975 he was GDR runner-up, in 1974 he was GDR road racing champion, category C9 racing car . From 1976 this category was no longer held as a GDR championship. In the last few years he started in the historic Touring Car Cup (as of 2009).

Krug is married and has no children (as of 1975).
