Wolfgang Laab

Wolfgang Laab (born May 18, 1967 in Vienna ) is an Austrian musician, composer, songwriter and producer.

Life

Wolfgang Laab started playing guitar in his youth. He realized his first musical project "Broadway" in 1989. After that he toured across Western Europe, a. a. with the band E-Stree and Platters on Stage. In 1996 he started at the Musicians Institute with Tom Bogert, Tom Kolb, Robin Randall, Mark Isham , Joe Diorio , Ron Eschete and others. a. to study. The band he founded, "The real Stardust Babies", which mainly covers songs, can still be heard at concerts today. As a producer, sound engineer, studio guitarist and lyricist, he worked with Peter Wolf , Alexander Kahr , Freddy Gigele and other Austrian musicians such as Leo Bei . He also gained greater fame through his close collaboration with Alf Poier for several of his productions, including a. with the band “Die Obersteirische Wolfshilfe” with the album “This isn't it” and the single “Happy Song” for the qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
