Wolfgang Martens (philologist)
Wolfgang Martens (born December 1, 1924 in Templin ; † December 2, 2000 ) was a German philologist and literary historian.
Life
After graduating as Dr. phil. in Cologne on September 25, 1952 and habilitation at the Free University of Berlin on February 5, 1968, he became professor of German language and literature in Vienna in 1972 .
