Wolfgang Nolte

Wolfgang Nolte (born May 21, 1947 in Duderstadt ) is a German local politician ( CDU ) and was mayor of his hometown from 2001 to October 31, 2019 . He is the holder of the ring of honor in gold of the city of Duderstadt and an honorary citizen of the Polish twin city Kartuzy .

Life

Nolte attended elementary schools in Tiftlingerode and Duderstadt, then the high school for boys. In 1962 he began an administration apprenticeship with the city administration of his hometown. After the respective final exams, he further qualified as a graduate in administrative management (FH) . In 1977 he became head of the main office at the city of Duderstadt, in 1988 city ​​director and 2001 mayor. In February 2019, Nolte announced his early resignation as Mayor of Duderstadt on October 31, 2019. Thorsten Feike (FDP) was elected as his successor in a runoff election on September 15, 2019.

Wolfgang Nolte was an altar boy and was involved in voluntary youth work. He is active in the Kolping family , the sports club and the choral society. He also holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Heinz Sielmann Foundation . In addition, he is deputy chairman of the sponsoring association of the Grenzlandmuseum Eichsfeld .

Nolte is married and has three children and four grandchildren.
