Wolfgang Prosinger

Wolfgang Prosinger (born May 8, 1948 in Munich ; † September 22, 2016 ) was a German journalist and book author.

Prosinger studied German and history in Munich and Freiburg. In the 1970s he was involved in the movement against the construction of the Wyhl nuclear power plant. After graduating, he worked for various newspapers, including five years as Italy correspondent in Rome for the Basler Zeitung and the Badische Zeitung. Since 2001 he has been in charge of page three of the Tagesspiegel in Berlin. He died of complications from cancer. Ferdos Forudastan and Christoph Schwennicke are among his students . His daughter Julia (* 1985) works as a journalist.
