Wolfgang Rother (born February 16, 1962 in Wasserburg am Inn ) is a German moderator.

Life

Rother studied communication science in Munich and then worked for various newspapers, including a. Münchner Merkur and Süddeutsche Zeitung . In 1987 he was employed as a radio reporter at Radio Gong , where he took over the post of editor-in-chief in 1991 . In December 1992 Rother switched to German sports television , today Sport1 . There he first worked as a sports reporter, from 1994 he devoted himself to his favorite topic, motorsport . Rother later became head of the motorsport department and moderated the races for DSF, among others. a. the Le Mans 24 hour race and the Superbike World Championship . With the start of the pay-TV channel DF1 , Rother became the presenter of the channel's Formula 1 broadcasts. He remained Formula 1 moderator at DF1 / Premiere World / Premiere until the end of 2005.

He has been self-employed since 2001 and is the managing partner of WR Media GmbH . He works as a moderator and consultant for various companies.
