Wolfgang Süß (born February 10, 1940 in Magdeburg ) is a German pharmacist and politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Saxon state parliament between 1990 and 1994 .

Life

After primary school in Magdeburg, Wolfgang Süß trained as a pharmacist. He attended evening high school in Magdeburg and graduated from high school there. This was followed by a study of pharmacy in Jena with the state examination in 1963. He then worked as a research assistant and senior assistant at the Pharmaceutical Institute of the University of Jena . In 1968 he received his doctorate. rer. nat.

From 1969, Süß was chief pharmacist at the Hubertusburg Wermsdorf Clinics. In 1976 he received state recognition as a pharmacist specializing in drug technology. In 1980 the doctorate to Dr. sc. nat.

Between 1987 and 1990, Wolfgang Süß was an honorary member of the Presidium of the Pharmaceutical Society. From 1984 he was an honorary member of the board of the pharmaceutical technology association. From March to October 1990 he was honorary president of the Association of Hospital Pharmacists (ADKA-GDR) and from October 1990 honorary board member of the Federal Association of German Hospital Pharmacists. In addition, since 1990 he has been honorary chairman of the Society of the Royal Saxon Hunting Lodge Hubertusburg .

Süß is Protestant, married and has two children.

Wolfgang Süß was CDU local group chairman from 1978 to 1980. From 1977 to 1987 he was a member of the parents' council. From 1990 he was a member of the Oschatz district council and a member of the Oschatz CDU district committee.

In October 1990, Suss was elected to the Saxon state parliament via constituency 18 (Oschatz - Döbeln II) with 52.6 percent of the vote. He belonged to it for an electoral term until 1994 and was a member of the Committee on Science and Universities and the Committee on Social Affairs, Health, Family and Women.
