Wolfgang Schmidt (theologian)

Wolfgang Schmidt (born January 15, 1924 in Hanover ; † April 27, 1998 ibid) was a German Lutheran clergyman and theologian.

Live and act

Schmidt was ordained in Hildesheim in 1956 and introduced as pastor at the Christ Church there. In 1957 he became a school pastor in Hildesheim. In 1961 he came to the catechetical office in Loccum . In 1967 he was commissioned to lead the college for church services in Hanover.

In 1976 he became a professor at the Evangelical University of Applied Sciences in Hanover and retired in 1989.
