Wolfgang Staiger
Wolfgang Staiger (born July 28, 1947 in Heidenheim ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
Life and work
After obtaining the subject-specific university entrance qualification in Heidenheim, Wolfgang Staiger studied until 1972 at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education for teaching at primary and secondary schools. He then completed an additional course of studies at the Reutlingen University of Education for special schools until 1975 . After working for a year at a special school in Steinheim am Albuch , he became a teacher at a special school in Heidenheim. Staiger is married and has three children.
politics
Staiger joined the SPD in 1977. From 1992 to 1996 he was parliamentary group leader in the Heidenheim municipal council . From 1996 to 2009 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , in which he represented constituency 24 (Heidenheim) .
