Wolfgang Stannek

Wolfgang Stannek (* 1941 ) is a German mechanical engineer and entrepreneur.

Life

Stannek studied mechanical engineering at the State Engineering School in Essen, before working for the United States Atomic Energy Commission from 1969 and doing a Master of Science in engineering at California State University . He then studied materials science at the Technical University of Berlin , where he also received his doctorate in 1973.

In the 1970s, Stannek worked for the Flick Group . In 1979 he was appointed professor of mechanical engineering from the Hanover University of Applied Sciences (then Hanover University of Applied Sciences) , where he continues to teach after his retirement in 2006.

From 1979 on, Stannek was committed to the development of universities in the People's Republic of China and was appointed honorary professor at Hefei University in 2000.

In 1996 he founded a management consultancy engineering company Prof. Stannek (IGS).
