Wolfgang Vielsack (born February 24, 1964 in Ersingen , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German actor , director and author . He is co-founder of the kuenstlerhaus43 , where he is the artistic director. In this position he initiated the summer festival in Wiesbaden in 2014 and has been organizing it ever since.

Life

Wolfgang Vielsack was born in 1964 as the fifth child of a butcher family in the village of Ersingen in Baden-Württemberg. After a number of other activities, he came to the Askalun Theater in nearby Pforzheim in 1990. There he appeared on stage for the first time as an actor at the age of 26. In 1992 Vielsack became aware of the entrance examination for the state-recognized drama school Theater am Martinstor by chance . It passed and this was followed by 4 years of professional training as an actor.

Acting career

The improvisational theater is the central fixed point of Vielsack's artistic work. This is reflected in his different commitments, including a. as a clown doctor , at the Landestheater Dinkelsbühl and in the improvisation theater Subito! reflected in Wiesbaden. 2005 founded Wolfgang Vielsack together with the graduate media economist Susanne Müller the kuenstlerhaus43 , also in Wiesbaden. There, too, improvisation and the involvement of the audience is a central element that can be found in the productions and workshops offered. Vielsack has been the organizer of the Wiesbaden Summer Festival since 2014. He worked as an actor for the Festival at Sonnenberg Castle , and since 2015 also as a director.

Between 1999 and 2007, Vielsack received further training from established artists. He learned from Jango Edwards , Amy Leverenz , Miki Malör and Christoph Bochdansky, among others .
