Wolfgang Wehner
Wolfgang Wehner (born December 21, 1959 in Schlechtsart ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 1999 to 2009 .
Career
From 1976 to 1979, Wehner completed vocational training with a high school diploma as a vehicle fitter, after which he completed a vocational teacher training course at the Technical University of Magdeburg until 1983 , which he completed as a graduate engineer pedagogue in mechanical engineering. He then worked as a vocational school teacher from 1983 to 1990 for the vehicle and hunting weapons factory in Suhl , then at the Zella-Mehlis commercial and technical vocational school center.
In the 1999 state elections , Wehner entered the Thuringian state parliament as a CDU direct candidate in the Suhl - Schmalkalden-Meiningen III constituency , which includes the cities of Suhl, Zella-Mehlis and Oberhof . In 2004 and 2009 he lost his constituency to Ina Leukefeld (PDS / Die Linke). After Wehner was able to move into the state parliament in 2004 via the state list of his party, in 2009 his 29th place on the list was no longer sufficient for re-election to the state parliament.
Wehner was a member of the Suhl city council and CDU district chairman in Suhl. In addition to his political activities, he was president of the volleyball Bundesliga club VfB 91 Suhl between 1998 and 2010 . Since the beginning of 2013, Wehner has been managing director of the Institute for Transfusion Medicine Suhl (ITM).
