Wolfhart Schultz

Wolfhart Schultz (born March 26, 1937 , † August 17, 1992 ) was a German biologist and director of the Institute for Pet Studies in Kiel.

Schultz was very committed to bird protection and bird research in Schleswig-Holstein and, from 1990, also in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . He headed the Institute for Animal Science in Kiel and the biological station (bird sanctuary) of the University of Kiel in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park . At the university he was a lecturer from 1970 to 1974 and from 1974 as a professor and was responsible for nature conservation issues under the Washington Convention on the Protection of Vertebrates. In Stralsund , he headed the small whale working group at the German Marine Museum .
