Karl Hisserich

Karl Hisserich (born November 30, 1926 in Homberg (Ohm) ; † October 21, 2011 in Marburg ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

After completing secondary school, Karl Hisserich trained as a legal clerk and most recently worked at the Alsfeld district court . He was a member of the SPD from 1956 and was chairman of the SPD in Homberg (Ohm) from 1960 to 1997. Between 1956 and 1997 he was a member of the city council and there for 30 years from 1960 to 1990 head of the city council.

In the period from 1960 to 1997 he was also active at the district level. First from 1960 to 1964 as a member of the district council of the Alsfeld district , from 1964 to 1972 as a full-time first alderman. From 1972 he was a member of the district council in the new Vogelsberg district .

From December 1, 1970 to April 4, 1991 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament.

In 1979 and 1984 he was a member of the Federal Assembly .

Karl Hisserich was married and had two children.

NSDAP membership

In a study published by historian Hans-Peter Klausch on behalf of the Die Linke parliamentary group in the Hessian state parliament in 2011 , Karl Hisserich's membership in the NSDAP is revealed. According to this study, he was admitted as a member of the NSDAP on April 20, 1944 under membership number 10.105.669. The study indicates that Hisserich had applied for admission at the age of 17 and was one of those who “can be seen as young victims of years of indoctrination, from which they broke free after the war at the latest”.
