The house is located in the Munich district of Solln in the district of 19 Thalkirchen-Obersendling-Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln on Wolfratshauser Straße near the Solln S-Bahn station about 200 m north of the bridge on Wolfratshauser Straße over the Munich – Holzkirchen railway line .

history

The architect Josef Schatz built the building for himself in 1906 as a residential building. It was designed as an apartment building from the start. Each floor was a separate apartment with its own bathroom. Over time, the exterior has been simplified, e.g. B. originally placed on the north gable false framework removed.

description

The house is a two-story building with a loft. It consists of three nested building parts with a protruding half-hipped roof, two of which are roughly in a north-south direction parallel to the street and the third across it. In the corner between the north and east wing is the entrance with a small porch. The gable side of the east wing facing the street is preceded on the right-hand side by a two-axis risalit , which has its own protruding gable roof gable below the half- hip gable .
