The Wolfratshauser road is an arterial road in Munich . It forms part of the federal highway 11 and is named after the city of Wolfratshausen south of Munich, in the direction of which it leads.
course
The street is located on the western high bank of the Isar in the district of Thalkirchen-Obersendling-Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln . It begins on Boschetsrieder Strasse , where it continues on Plinganserstrasse in a southerly direction. It leads past the villa colony Prinz-Ludwigs-Höhe to Solln and crosses the Munich – Holzkirchen railway line on a bridge . From Solln the road continues to Pullach in the Isar valley , where it continues under the same name. Immediately on the Munich city limits is the St. Gabriel Monastery on the right .
The B11 keeps the name Wolfratshauser Straße up to the municipality boundary of Hohenschäftlarn , from there and up to Wolfratshausen it is called Münchner Straße.
traffic
The southern exit of Solln train station on S-Bahn lines 7 and 20 is crossed by the road on a bridge.
The B11, and thus Wolfratshauser Strasse, is an important connecting road in town. Out of town, the federal motorway 95 runs parallel to the west and takes over regional traffic to the south. Wolfratshauser Strasse therefore only opens up the Munich suburbs on the west bank of the Isar, such as Pullach and Schäftlarn .
