Architecture and history
The two-storey half - timbered house was built around 1720. Other information indicates that it was built in the 17th century. In the 17th century, at least the chancellery Gottlieb Christian Nüssler lived there . His daughter Wilhelmine Charlotte Nüssler , who later became Countess of Ballenstedt and who became known as the beautiful Nüssler , was born here on May 10, 1683 . In 1703 the prince certified house privileges such as exemption from taxes, noble liberties and immunities for the property. From 1724 until her death in 1767, Prince Wilhelmine Auguste, daughter of Prince Karl Friedrich von Anhalt-Bernburg, lived on the property .
On the half-timbered facade of the Bürgerhof there are filler wood , beam heads and a profiled threshold . The compartments are provided with decorative lining.
To the east, there are side wings that have recently been changed in appearance due to construction work.
The name goes back to the Wolf family, who cultivated the 42 hectares of land belonging to the farm from around 1760. In 1842 the arable citizen Heinrich Wolf took over the house and relied on the old house privileges. In 1863 a request for protection for the previous freedom of service is confirmed. So the property was exempt from the horse service fee . In February 1911 a new cowshed with space for 24 animals and a three-storey storage facility was built.
In 1951 the Wolfs' farm was also affected by the forced collectivization in the GDR agriculture. After 1989, the family's heirs took over the property again and undertook extensive renovation work. During the work, a gold necklace from the beautiful Nussler was found.
Today the Pension Wolfshof and the Café Zur Schöne Nüsslerin are operated in the house. The addressing changed from Schlossplatz 2 to Schlossberg 2b . The property is entered in the property cadastre as corridor 3, parcel 268.
In the local register of monuments , the property is listed as an inn under registration number 094 50066 as a monument .
