Wolmer Beltrami

Wolmer Beltrami (* 1922 in Breda Cisoni , province of Mantua ; † 28. October 1999 ) was an Italian accordionist in the field of jazz and popular music .

Wolmer Beltrami had accordion lessons with his father before he got his first recording contract as a professional soloist with Columbia Records at the age of fifteen and toured numerous times a. a. through Germany and Switzerland began. In 1947 he founded the Wolmer-Kramer Duo , which toured Italy and England, had numerous television, theater and radio appearances and recorded a number of records. Beltrami performed in music shows in the following years, with orchestras and in a trio with his sisters Leda (accordion, vocals) and Luisa (double bass, vocals). From the 1960s onwards, he also wrote numerous film scores. Beltrami's best-known titles include Il treno, Carovana negra and Squadrone bianco . He also worked with Delia Scala and Renato Rascel . composed for the Gorni Kramer Orchestra and worked as a talent scout, his discoveries include Mina and Fausto Leali .
