Wonderland (band)
history
The band was founded in 1968 in Hamburg by Achim Reichel .
He left his first band, The Rattles , in 1966 and completed his time in the Bundeswehr . After the successful debut single Moscow , which reached number 20 in Germany on August 1, 1968 and climbed to number 15, there was an equally successful tour as the opening act for the Bee Gees , and in 1969 Wonderland landed in the selection of the best German bands by specialist journalists in third place was her producer James Last .
In 1971 Achim Reichel then lost interest in the group and devoted himself to other projects. Les Humphries left the band in 1969 to form his hit group Les Humphries Singers . The Hamburg keyboardist Claus-Robert Kruse joined the band for him, and later the Hamburg guitarist Kalle Trapp. Dicky Tarrach developed into a sought-after studio musician and made a name for himself in the 1980s both as a soloist ( Tarracco ) and as a member of Moti Special ( Cold Days - Hot Nights ).
