The Wonga ( Russian Воньга ) is a river in the Republic of Karelia in northwestern Russia .

It drains Lake Engosero at its southwestern end, overcomes a difference in altitude of 71 m over a distance of 106 km and flows in a south-easterly direction to flow into the White Sea .

It flows through the following lakes: Pajosero, Chogosero, Pildosero , Sindamosero, Muramosero, Gagarino, Kodaguba, Stolbowoje, Chekosero, Medweschje, Sobachye, Umangosero and Polowinnoje. The Verkhnyaya Kusemka forms an important right tributary of the Wonga.

The river forms several rapids that are popular with canoe tourists.
