Rhee Won-il (born November 2, 1960 in Seoul , South Korea ; † January 11, 2011 there ) was an internationally active curator .

The focus of Rhee's work was the mediation and presentation of contemporary modern art , especially at the interfaces between Asian art and media art . Rhee organized and curated exhibitions around the world, some of which were highly regarded. His collaboration with the Karlsruhe ZKM and the Museum of Modern Art New York was particularly intense .
