Jürgen Sacher

Jürgen Sacher (* 1960 in Augsburg ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ). He has been engaged at the Hamburg State Opera since 1991 .

Life

Jürgen Sacher completed his studies in church music and music education at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg . After graduating in 1983, he studied singing with the soprano Leonore Kirschstein . In 1986 Sacher started his operatic career at the Städtische Bühnen Heidelberg , which was followed by a three-year engagement at the Dortmund Opera . From the 1991/92 season, Sacher became a member of the ensemble at the Hamburg State Opera . In addition to his singing activities in Hamburg, Sacher had guest engagements, including a. at Scala , in Barcelona , at the Berlin State Opera , in Brussels , Copenhagen and at the Salzburg Festival . Sacher lives with his family in Trittau .

Sacher's roles include a. Pedrillo from the Abduction from the Seraglio , Truffaldino in love with the three oranges , Valzacchi in the Rosenkavalier , Dr. Cajus in Falstaff , Cassio from Otello , Chateauneuf and Peter Iwanow from Zar and Zimmermann and Andres in Wozzeck . His Wagner repertoire includes the helmsman from the Flying Dutchman and Walther von der Vogelweide from Tannhäuser . In the 2008/2009 new Hamburg production of the Ring des Nibelungen , Sacher gave the box and the mime. Opera parts, concerts and songs sung by Sacher can be heard on a number of sound carriers.
