The Wood Point is a headland on the northern coast of the Antarctic Ross Island . It is 16 km east-southeast of Cape Tennyson .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1964 after the American biologist Robert C. Wood, who worked in the United States Antarctic Research Program in three consecutive Antarctic summer campaigns between 1961 and 1964 at neighboring Cape Crozier .
