The Woodhow Tarn is a small lake or tarn in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The lake is located at the southeast end of Wast Water Lake, north of the River Irt . The lake has only a short inflow, but no outflow. The lake is located on private property, but can be recognized from the nearby road or from the surrounding slopes.
