The 1989/90 season was the eighth edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the British Women's League . The league is run by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Chairman's Cup .

mode

All teams played a simple round with a return leg. There was no relegation. For the second time the league was held in three regional groups. The winners of the three divisions should then meet. However, there was only one game.

Final game

After the victory of the Oxford City Rockets against the Streatham Striker, they were unofficial champions of the women's league. Unfortunately, the Rockets, who were clearly superior to their opponents in the Central Division, and the Northern Division winner, the Sunderland Scorpions, did not come to a meeting where they could prove their strength.
