The 2007/08 season was the 26th edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the Women's Premier Ice Hockey League . The league is run by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Bill Britton Memorial Trophy .

mode

Initially, all teams played a simple round with a return leg. The four best reached the semifinals. The last had to be relegated to the best in the 1st division. In the final round, only one game was played between the opponents.

Relegation

In the battle for a place in the highest league, the winners of the main round of both groups of Division I faced each other. The winner of the game then competed against the last-placed Premier League. The Swindon Topcats from the southern group were able to clearly prevail twice and achieved the rise.

Division 1

The Women's National Ice Hockey League is the second tier of the English women 's ice hockey league after the Premier League. Division 1 is the highest class in it. It is divided into three regional groups.

Final round

In a final tournament, the two best of the two groups were played for victory in Division 1. The winner gained the right of the relegation game against the last placed in the Premier League for a starting place in the WPIHL.
