The 1995/96 season was the 14th edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the British Women's League . The league was carried out by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Chairman's Cup .

There was a single round of all teams with a return leg. It is unknown whether there was a final round ( Final Four ), as in all years before and after .

Division 1

The Women's National Ice Hockey League is the second tier of the English women 's ice hockey league after the Premier League. Division 1 is the highest class in it. It is divided into two regional groups.

Final round

In a final tournament, the two best of the two groups played for overall victory in Division 1. The winner played in a relegation against the bottom of the Premier League to qualify for the top division in the next season .
