The 2012/13 season is the 31st edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the Women's Premier Ice Hockey League . The league is run by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner will receive the Bill Britton Memorial Trophy . The Diamonds from Kingston upon Hull were able to win the title for the third time in a row.

Initially, all teams played a simple round with a return leg. The four best reached the semi-finals ("Final Four"). The last had to be relegated to the best in the 1st division. In the final round, only one game was played between the opponents.

The Women's National Ice Hockey League is the second tier of the English women 's ice hockey league after the Premier League. Division 1 is the highest class in it. It is divided into a north and a south group.
