The 2013/14 season was the 32nd edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the Women's Premier Ice Hockey League . The league was carried out by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Bill Britton Memorial Trophy .

mode

First, all teams play a simple round with a return leg. The four best reached the semifinals. The last had to be relegated to the best in the 1st division. In the final round, only one game is played between the opponents.

The last of the previous year was relegated to the National Ice Hockey League - Division I. But there was no climber. Therefore, only eight teams are playing for the title this season.

Division 1

The Women's National Ice Hockey League is the second tier of the English women 's ice hockey league after the Premier League. Division 1 is the highest class in it. It is divided into a north and a south group.

Final Four

In the final tournament, the EIHA Trophy Weekend , the two best of the two groups will be played across the board for victory in Division 1 and for the right of the relegation game against the last one of the WPIHL.

With the win after extra time, the Swindon Topcats, who had been relegated from the WPIHL, won the Division One championship title and dethroned the champion.
