The Wootzensee in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District in East Mecklenburg. It is a glacial tongue basin lake and thus originated in the Ice Age . The lake is located northeast of Feldberg in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft nature park . It is approximately 1.23 kilometers long and up to five hundred meters wide. The village of Fürstenhagen in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft municipality is on the east bank . The area around the lake is used for agriculture, in some places the shore is lined with a narrow strip of forest. The heights around the lake reach over 111 m above sea level. NHN . The outflow of the lake, the Floot , is located at the southern end and provides a connection to the Zansen and Carwitzer lakes .
