Mocean Worker (* in Philadelphia ) is a pseudonym of the American nu-jazz bassist , singer and producer Adam Dorn .

life and work

Adam Dorn was born in Philadelphia as the son of jazz and R'n'B producer Joel Dorn . He studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston , Massachusetts .

At the age of 15 he was invited to the studio by Marcus Miller , from which he became acquainted with David Sanborn , Luther Vandross and Miles Davis for many years .

Dorn adopted the nickname Mocean Worker as a DJ for drum and bass music. Over time, Dorn incorporated elements of funk and big band swing into his recordings.
