World Speed Poker Open
The World Speed Poker Open , or WSPO for short , was an international poker tournament series that was held twice. It was played according to the rules of speed poker .

Each player had 15 seconds per decision. The clock started as soon as the player knew the amount of the bet. Twice per tournament, a player had an additional cooling off period of 30 seconds. If a decision was not made within the given time, the hand was passed. Two dealers were present at each table to keep up the pace.

The first edition of the World Speed Poker Open took place in 2004 in Tallinn , Estonia . Seven events were played.

2005
The second edition of the World Speed Poker Open took place in 2005 in London , UK . Twelve events were initially played. Each of the events had a field of six participants, the winner received a prize of 2500 pounds and qualified for the semi-finals. There the six participants were determined for the final, which was eventually won by Irishman Oliver Boyce, who received the main prize of 50,000 pounds.
