Wyatt Crockett (born January 24, 1983 in Christchurch , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand rugby union player on the position of the pillar .

Crockett attended Nelson College and is a member of Christchurch's Burnside RFC rugby club. In his youth he won the Rugby Junior World Cup in Italy in 2002 with the New Zealand U-19 national rugby team and the 2004 Junior World Cup in Scotland with the U-21 national team .

Since 2005 he has played for the Canterbury RFU selection in the New Zealand rugby championship . With her he became champion four times in a row in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. He also won the Ranfurly Shield with Canterbury in 2007 (one successful defense), 2009 (four successful defenses) and 2010 (two successful defenses).

He has also been playing for the Crusaders in international super rugby since 2006 . With them, he won the title in 2006 and 2008. In 2007, 2009 and 2010 they failed in the semi-finals and in 2011 in the final of the championship.

In 2009 he made his debut due to his performances for the New Zealand national team (All Blacks) during the June internationals against the Italian national team . The All Blacks won 27-6. At the end of the year he was in the All Blacks' squad for their annual November tour of Europe , where he came up against victories over Italy and the Welsh national team.

His next national team nomination came two years later. He played in the Tri Nations 2011 and successfully defended the Bledisloe Cup with the All Blacks against the Australian national team (Wallabies). After that, he did not make it into the New Zealand squad for the 2011 Rugby Union World Cup in his own country.
