Wychavon is a district in the county of Worcestershire in England , the name of which goes back to the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Hwicce . The administrative seat is the city of Pershore . Other significant locations are Droitwich Spa and Evesham .

The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and emerged from the merger of the Boroughs Droitwich and Evesham, the Rural District Evesham and most of the Rural Districts Droitwich and Pershore.
