Xavier Mbuyamba (born December 31, 2001 in Maastricht ) is a Dutch football player of Congolese descent.

After his first experiences in the men's area in the jersey of MVV Maastricht , he moved to FC Barcelona in 2019 , where he plays for the A-youth. He also made his debut for a Dutch youth national team for the first time in 2019.

Career

Xavier Mbuyamba began playing football at the Maastricht amateur club VV De Heeg before moving to the MVV Maastricht youth academy via VV Scharn . He played his first game in the men's division on November 9, 2018 in the 3-2 defeat in the away game against FC Volendam . Mbuyamba made eleven appearances during the 2018/19 season and finished 12th in the table with MVV Maastricht at the end of the season. In August 2019 he moved to FC Barcelona , where he is planned for the A-youth (U19).

National team

On November 19, 2019, Xavier Mbuyamba played for the Dutch U19 national team for the first time in a 3: 3 friendly match against Mexico in 's-Gravenzande .
