Ximena Navarrete Rosete (born February 22, 1988 in Guadalajara , Mexico ) is a Mexican model and Miss Universe from 2010.

Life

She was born in Guadalajara and grew up there. Her parents are Carlos Navarrete and Gabriela Rosete and she is one of two children. Before taking part in beauty contests, she trained as a nutritionist and worked as a model since she was 15. First she won the beauty contest of the Mexican state Jalisco in Guadalajara on July 16, 2009 and on September 20, 2009 the national competition "Nuestra Belleza México 2009" in Merida . In Merida she prevailed against 33 competitors.

On August 23, 2010, she was voted Miss Universe at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas against 82 candidates. After Lupita Jones , who was also Miss Universe in Las Vegas, she became the second Mexican to win against global competition.
