Xinmin

Xinmin ( Chinese 新民 市 , Pinyin Xīnmín Shì ) is an independent city that belongs to the administrative area of the sub-provincial city of Shenyang in the Chinese province of Liaoning . In 1999 it had 674,813 inhabitants, and in 2010 around 696,000. The administrative area of Xinmin City covers an area of 3,315 km².
Administrative structure
At the community level, Xinmin consists of five street districts , eleven large communities and 13 communities . These are:
- Dongcheng Street District (东城 街道 = "East City");
- Liaobin Street District (辽 滨 街道);
- Xicheng Street District (西城 街道 = "West City");
- Road quarter Xinliu (新柳街道);
- Xincheng street district (新城 街道 = "New Town");
- Greater community Dahongqi (大红旗镇);
- Greater community Liangshan (梁山镇);
- Greater community Gongzhutun (公主屯镇);
- Greater community Xinglong (兴隆镇);
- Greater community Qiandangpu (前当堡镇);
- Greater community Damintun (大民屯镇);
- Greater community Daliutun (大柳屯镇);
- Greater community Xinglongpu (兴隆堡镇);
- Hutai Municipality (胡 台 镇);
- Fahaniu Municipality (法 哈 牛 镇);
- Greater community Liuhegou (柳河沟镇);
- Gaotaizi parish (高 台子 乡);
- Community Jinwutaizi (金五台子乡);
- Hongqi Township (红旗 乡);
- Lutun municipality (卢屯乡);
- Community Yaopu (姚堡乡);
- Community Zhoutuozi (周坨子乡);

Cultural monuments
The Gaotaishan site ( Gaotaishan yizhi高 台山 遗址) of the Neolithic Gaotaishan culture has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-48) since 2006 .
