Xosé Fernández Ferreiro

Xosé Fernández Ferreiro (born January 29, 1931 in Espartedo , Ourense Province , † December 16, 2015 in A Coruña ) was a Galician writer .

Life

Xosé Fernández Ferreiro was a member of the nationalist literary group “Brais Pinto”. He began his writing career with poetry in the 1950s. He later devoted himself to fiction and became a pioneer of the Galician western with A morte de Frank González . He also worked as a journalist .

On June 4, 2011 he was elected a member of the Real Academia Galega .
