Xu Jing (table tennis player)
Xu Jing ( Chinese徐 竞 / 徐 競; Pinyin Xú Jìng; born January 8, 1968 in Liaoning ) is a former Chinese- born Taiwanese table tennis player . She took part in the Olympic Games twice.

Career
Xu was born in China but moved to Taiwan with her family at an early age. In her youth she was one of the most successful players in her new country. In 1991 she was able to take part in a world championship for the first time and made it to the second round in doubles.
In 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2001, Xu participated in six other world championships. In 2000 she was runner-up with the team, which was Taiwan's best ever result. In 1996 she played for the first time at the Olympic Games , but was eliminated in the preliminary round in the singles against Kim Hyang-mi .
On the Pro Tour she had some successes in doubles: in 1999 she won gold at the Czech Open and in 2000 at the Croatia Open. In 2000 she was able to participate again in the Olympic Games and came there in doubles with Chen Jing in the round of 16, while she failed in the singles in the third round.
